MAROLENA
A SCANTILY-CLAD FANTASY FASHION DOLL

No weird fetishy stuff this time; just an ordinary gal with heavy makeup, dressed in ordinary high-fashion metal underwear. Well, maybe... According to the local standards, her modest breasts are kinda freakish. (but the cups help make up the difference...)

We went to the Texas Renaissance Festival a few weeks back, and bought a brevor/pauldron thing for our mannequin; that probably had something to do with this doll's costuming. Another source of inspiration was the sketches of fantasy artist Esteban Maroto. Although he's done many outlandish costuming designs for scantily-clad warrior women, I liked the character's "presence" in one of his drawings, and tried to capture that in the facial features. I don't know if that was such a great idea since the comic-bookish sketches aren't intended to be realistic, and I might have put too much slant in the eyes? Since I used a Selena doll as the base figure, I named the doll/article "Marolena". (Yeah, it's dumb but the article needed a title.) The bod has lots of mods, but the most important one was putting in screw-tightened hinges so she could stand and hold things. The armour's still heavy, even though it doesn't cover much skin. (Hey, it's Fantasy armour, right?)

The shiny effect's pretty kewl-- with image enhancement of the reflections, you might see me squatting in a pair of shorts, getting chewed up by mosquitos and being driven mad by gnats.
